Guidelines for Generative AI Usage
The developments in generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools, for example the large language models (LLMs), are transforming the way publications are produced. The use of those emerging technologies in a responsible manner is encouraged. Such AI tools mostly promote researchers' own capacity to create high-quality scientific work. For instance, AI tools can help researchers arrive at new ideas and improve self-written texts, especially for non-native speakers of English. However, it is needed to consider that AI tools also raise questions about what exactly constitutes their responsible use.
Preprint related guidelines should be followed: IEEE Preprint Policy - IEEE Computational Intelligence Society, https://innovate.ieee.org/techrxiv_launch/
Technical Tracks
The paper should have a clear and meaningful connection to the symposium theme, “Connected Intelligence for Resilient Societies,” and should fit one of the TENSYMP 2027 technical tracks. Interdisciplinary contributions are welcome when their connection to the symposium scope is clear.
- Track 1: Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Data Intelligence
- Track 2: Future Communication and Networking Technologies
- Track 3: Cyber-Physical Systems, IoT and Intelligent Automation
- Track 4: Sustainable Energy and Environmental Technologies
- Track 5: Cybersecurity, Privacy and Resilient Computing
- Track 6: Technology for Health, Humanity and Society
- Track 7: Ethics, Policy and Governance in Connected Systems
- Track 8: Education and Capacity Building in Resilient Technologies
Language and Presentation Quality
- All papers must be written in English.
- The manuscript should be clear, concise, professional and understandable to an international technical audience.
- Authors are strongly encouraged to proofread the manuscript carefully, including grammar, terminology, figure captions and references.
IEEE Template and Formatting
All submissions must follow the official IEEE conference paper template and formatting guidelines. IEEE provides conference templates for Word and LaTeX and recommends their use for conference papers. Remove all template instructions and guidance text before submission. Do not alter margins, font sizes, column structure, paper size or other template settings to circumvent requirements.

Paper Length
- The maximum length of a TENSYMP 2027 full paper is six (6) printed A4 pages (4-6 pages) in the prescribed IEEE format, including references.
- Do not reduce font size or margins to circumvent the page limit.
- Do not use compressed spacing or other formatting changes to fit additional content.
- Papers exceeding six (6) pages may be desk rejected.
- The camera-ready paper must comply with the final IEEE and TENSYMP requirements.
Double-Blind Review Requirements
TENSYMP 2027 uses a double-blind review process. The review manuscript must not reveal author identity.
Information that must not appear in the initial manuscript:
- Author names
- Institutional affiliations
- Department, faculty or laboratory names that identify authors
- E-mail addresses
- ORCID IDs
- Institutional or personal addresses
- Personal webpages or profiles identifying authors
- Acknowledgement identifying people, institutions, laboratories or organisations
- Grant, funding or project information that identifies authors or institutions
- Identifying repository links or URLs
- Any other author-identifying information
Acknowledgements and Funding
Do not include personal acknowledgements, institutional acknowledgements, grant numbers, funding agencies, project names or other funding information that could identify the authors in the initial manuscript. Such information may be added to the camera-ready version after acceptance, subject to final-paper instructions.
Self-Citations and Previous Work
Authors may cite their previous publications when relevant. References should be written objectively in the third person. Avoid phrases such as “our previous work” or “we previously demonstrated in [x]” when these reveal author identity. Do not remove necessary citations merely to preserve anonymity; present them objectively.
Submission Through EDAS
- All full-paper submissions are made through the official TENSYMP 2027 EDAS system.
- First-time users must create an EDAS account.
- Use an institutional e-mail address when registering where possible.
- Enter author names and affiliations accurately in EDAS, even though they must not appear in the double-blind manuscript.
- Select the most appropriate technical track.
- Upload the manuscript as PDF.
- Check the uploaded PDF and metadata before the deadline.

Presentation and No-Show Policy
Authors of accepted papers are expected to present their papers according to conference requirements. TENSYMP 2027 states that accepted papers that are not presented will not be included in the official symposium proceedings submitted to IEEE Xplore.
